eSIM Lab

The Brooks & District Health Foundation is currently working hard to raise funds for a new eSIM lab for the Brooks Health Centre.

eSIM stands for Educate, Simulate, Innovate, Motivate and provides:

• An educational technique that recreates real clinical events in a simulated, interactive, and immersive environment using simulated mannequins.
• "Real-world" experience for health care providers and students.
• Self-reflection and guided learning through structured facilitation.

​The implementation of this lab will benefit the community by:

• Attracting top talent to the community.
• Boosting retentation by offering cutting-edge professional development.
• Enhancing emergency preparedness of staff and response capabilities. 
• Improving overall quality of care and patient outcomes.
